Does Google have an official MCP server for Business Profile?

Not at the time of writing. Google has published MCP servers for some of its developer products, but none for Google Business Profile. CheckLocalSEO connects to your profile through Google's official Business Profile APIs, using the same Google sign-in you already have. It also adds data Google does not provide at all: where you rank in the map pack across your area, and who is ranking above you.

Do I need a paid Claude plan?

You need a Claude plan that allows custom connectors. Anthropic decides which plans include them, and how many, and that changes from time to time. Check the connector settings in your own Claude account before you start.

Does it work with ChatGPT and other AI tools?

The connector is a standard MCP server, so any client that supports remote MCP servers can use it. We have tested the full sign-in and permission flow end to end in Claude. If you use it somewhere else and hit a snag, tell us and we will fix it.

Only the Google Business Profiles connected to your CheckLocalSEO account that are on the Managed plan or its free trial, and only the data we already hold for them: profile details, rankings, reviews, Google performance figures, search terms, outstanding fixes and posts. A profile is visible to the account that connected it, and nobody else.

Can Claude post or reply without asking me?

No. Claude asks your permission before it uses any tool, and publishing a post or replying to a review is a separate step you approve in the chat. You can also draft a post without publishing it and finish it in the app. Every change is recorded on your account.

How do I disconnect it?

Remove the connector in Claude's settings at any time, and its access stops straight away. Disconnecting your Google Business Profile inside CheckLocalSEO cuts it off too.

Can I try it before I pay?

Yes. The audit and your first rank scan are free with no card. To connect Claude, start the Managed plan's 14-day free trial on your first profile. Does the connector cost extra?

Other connectors give an AI your reviews, your posts and your performance figures. That is useful. But none of it answers the question every local business asks: am I showing up on the map, and where am I not?

We check a grid of points around your business — free the first time, then every week on Managed. At each point we record where you rank. Claude reads that grid. Create your CheckLocalSEO account and connect your Google Business Profile. It is the same Google sign-in you already use. It takes about a minute.

Add the connector in Claude

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste the URL above and press Connect.

Sign in and allow access

Claude sends you to CheckLocalSEO to sign in. It shows you what it is asking for, then waits for you to press Allow. Now ask your first question.

Before you start: the connector comes with the Managed plan, including its free trial. Custom connectors are also a Claude account setting, and Anthropic decides which plans can use them. If you cannot see “Add custom connector”, check your Claude plan.
